Who We Are
BIWPA is an international water polo academy based in Barcelona, Spain, that combines high performance water polo and academic studies for student-athletes from different parts of the world.
Additionally, BIWPA offers water polo camps, team training trips, tournaments, and coaches education courses.
Academy
The best combination between high performance water polo and academic studies in Barcelona. We target athletes aged 14 to 18 years old who are looking to combine their high school studies with training and competition opportunities abroad. We also offer gap year, Bachelor's, and Master's degree programs for older athletes.
Team Training Trips
We offer teams around the world a chance to train in Barcelona's top facilities, compete against local club teams and enjoy the city's culture and gastronomy. Groups of all types and levels are welcome: national, college, high school and clubs.
Water Polo Camps
Water polo camps for young players aged 11 to 16 years old in Barcelona, United States and other locations. An
opportunity for campers to improve the fundamental aspects of water polo, meet players from
around the world and have a blast. Available in winter, Easter and summer.
Coaches Institute
The Coaches Institute is an academy where we provide training, education and tools to coaches from around the world. Learn alongside our coaching staff during one of our programs or explore the online courses available.
Technical Corner
A free video training platform for water polo coaches and athletes to learn the fundamental drills and individual skills. A tool with training techniques featuring professional and semi-professional athletes along with feedback from our Academy coaches.
