BIWPA Strengthens Its Presence in the US Through Partnership with Futures Water Polo League

[Los Angeles, CA – January 22, 2025] The Barcelona International Water Polo Academy (BIWPA) is proud to announce its partnership with the Futures Water Polo League (Futures WPL). This collaboration brings together two organizations committed to advancing the growth of young water polo talent in the United States through elite competition and a highly professional environment.

Futures WPL, renowned for providing high-level competition for the nation's top water polo clubs, aligns seamlessly with BIWPA's mission of developing athletes, coaches, and the sport itself through innovative training methods. BIWPA's proven methodology focuses on fundamentals, technical and tactical work, real game situations, and decision-making, creating a comprehensive and effective approach to water polo development. 

As part of this partnership, BIWPA representatives will be accessible to Futures participants during select league weekends and prominently during the Finals, offering insight into BIWPA's programs and opportunities for collaboration.

Additionally, BIWPA's presence will extend to Futures' digital platforms and events, with the BIWPA logo and commercials featured on the Futures website, social media, merchandise, and broadcast materials.

This partnership marks a significant milestone for BIWPA during its 10th anniversary year. Since its inception in 2014, BIWPA has greatly expanded its presence in the United States, hosting clinics in multiple areas such as Connecticut, Florida, Texas, Chicago, California, and Denver. The academy offers long-term athlete development, training trips for teams, intensive camps and clinics, competitive tournaments, education for coaches, consulting services for clubs and federations, and more upon demand. 

BIWPA has also showcased its world-class coaching and talent, bringing Olympians like Anni Espar, Irene Gonzalez, and Felipe Perrone to its U.S. programs, inspiring and training the next generation of water polo athletes.
